The Black Gauntlet is a Galleon featured in the novel, Sea of Thieves: Athena's Fortune. The Black Gauntlet is described as a fine and distinguished galleon modified with steel bands around the hull to reinforce against cannon fire.

The Black Gauntlet was captained by Quince, a fearsome pirate with a reputation for taking the Order of Souls' most notable bounties. It was under his command that the ship pursued the Unforgiven in service of the Order and, after nearly burning down in open seas, was scuttled by a Chest of Sorrow locked in the ship's Captain's Quarters by Larinna.
