Carl is a shopkeeper at the Clothing Shop on Dagger Tooth Outpost.

Before his life as a shopkeep, Carl sailed the seas, though it's not known if this was as a pirate or not. Carl seems to speak primarily in poems and the occasional rhyme.

Greetings! Enter a bastion of true civility, noble wanderer! Unshackle your pretentions and share but a blissful moment in Carl's sweet company.

You seem well travelled. Get about much?

Oh, that frightful pity. Such mighty shame.
Once earthy salt, wet noble spray, sunsets heralding each passing day.
Now shackled, burdened with confinement in walls of wood.
Oh, to once again belong to magnificent tides, as driftwood fated to ocean's bidding.

Do you have anything in stock you would recommend?

Within prison of earth and wood, buttons are now my stars.
Rough texture of cloth, rippling in waves that remind of moons past.
Am I still he who once sailed the blue? May I be he again?
Brave wanderer! You take me to a place long thought forgotten!

Do you like it here at Dagger Tooth?

Oh, primitive crags of rock and weed.
A place of teeth and knives.
Like a gaping maw, they draw me closer.
To feed without remorse upon my beleaguered soul.
