The Day One Patch is an Eyepatch cosmetic variant from the Standalone Cosmetics Set.

Obtaining

The Day One Patch can be obtained by the following methods:

  • Time-limited purchase from the General Clothing Shop for 1 Gold.
  • To have been purchased before March 29, 2018. (Original requirements)
  • To have played Sea of Thieves between December 13th - 16th, 2020 while also having played between March 20th - 29th, 2018.

  • The Day One Patch is the result of a suggestion by reddit user Jefabell, who wrote, "Dear Rare, don’t miss the opportunity to release a ‘Day One Patch’ eye-patch with the game’s Day One Patch."
  • The item's name is a play on the video game development term "Day One Patch", which describes a software patch released on or shortly after a game's release to address bugs.
  • As part of the 1000 Days of Sea of Thieves celebration, the Day One Patch was retroactively distributed to all players who played in March 2018 while the eyepatch was originally available for purchase.
