A Food Barrel is a type of Resource Barrel on every Ship used to store and pick up various types of Food Items in Sea of Thieves. Food Barrels can store all types of Food - Fruit, Fish, Meat and Bait.

Where to Find

Food Barrels are found on all player Ships, Skeleton Ships and Shipwrecks.

  • There are 2 Food Barrels on every ship variant.
    • A Sloop has 2 Food Barrels on the lower deck's port side.
    • A Brigantine has 2 Food Barrels on the middle deck's port side below deck, facing the stairs.
    • A Galleon has 2 Food Barrels on the middle deck's port side near the main deck stairs and Map Table.

Storage

Every Barrel has 16 open Slots per Page for Resources. Each Barrel can contain up to three pages worth of Resources with a maximum of 99 of a single item per one Slot. Therefore, the maximum storage capacity of a single Barrel is 4752 Resource Items.

Food Barrels can store Fruit, Fish, Meat and Bait. Note that Half-eaten and various Cooked levels of each Food Item take a separate Inventory Slot in a Barrel.
