The Merfruit is a food type of resource in Sea of Thieves. It can be consumed to restore some of the player's health, or it can be cooked to transform it into an Enchanted Merfruit.
Where to find
- Chance to find in barrels found in the world.
- Chance to find beached on the shorelines of islands.
- Chance to find in random Storage Crates.
- Chance to find in random Fruit Crates.
Uses
- Consuming a raw Merfruit restores 45 health.
- Consuming a burnt Merfruit restores 4 health.
- Cooking a Merfruit to perfection (20s) will transform it into an Enchanted Merfruit which when consumed will provide no healing benefits but instead give the ability to suppress friendly Merfolk for 2 minutes.
Storage
An uncooked and burnt Merfruit is stored and counted alongside other food items. A perfectly cooked Merfruit becomes an Enchanted Merfruit which is counted separate from other foods with its own storage limits.
- The player's inventory can hold up to 5 food items.
- A Barrel can store up to 4752 food items.
- A Rowboat chest can store up to 640 food items.
- A Fruit Crate chest can store up to 50 food items.
- A Storage Crate can store up to 1584 food items.
In-game description
"A Merfruit can be used to restore health as usual, but can be cooked to make Merfolk disappear for a time."
