Mermaid Gems are a group of small treasures that can be sold to most Trading Companies (with the exception of Athena's Fortune) for Gold and Reputation. There are three types of incremental value: Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby. They are similar to Siren Gems.
Where to find
Mermaid Gems can be found from the following sources:
- 1-3 guaranteed dropped from Cursed Mermaid Statues when destroyed. (Gem will match statue's colour)
- Chance to find in freshly discovered closed Collector's Chests.
- Chance to find in Shipwrecks. (Sapphire Mermaid Gem only)
- Chance to find among Barrels of Plenty floating at sea.
- Chance to dig up from X Marks the Spot Maps received from Athena's Run and Athena's Fortune Voyages.
- Chance to be dropped by a vanquished Megalodon.
- Chance to be dropped by a vanquished Kraken.
- Chance to be found on Skeleton Ships, or among loot dropped upon defeat.
- Chance to find inside a Stronghold Vault of active Skeleton Forts.
- 4 guaranteed inside the vault of an active Fort of the Damned. (Random mix of gem colours)
