The Mysterious Key is a special type of Key Quest Item that is needed for the Heart of Fire Tall Tale. This Key can only be acquired as part of the Tall Tale and is used to open the entrance to Flameheart's Lair on The Devil's Thirst.

Obtaining

The Mysterious Key is obtained during the Heart of Fire Tall Tale. The Key is found inside a Heart-shaped safe that is unlocked with a Puzzle in Stitcher Jim's Hideout at Liar's Backbone.

Notes

• The only use of the Key is to open Flameheart's Lair at The Devil's Thirst. As such, it has no value to other crews.
• The Mysterious Key can be stored inside Container Chests.
• The Mysterious Key gives off a white glint from a distance.
• Once the Mysterious Key is lost to the sea or disappears, the Tall Tale will fail.
