Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull
The Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull is a weapon and Bounty Skull in Sea of Thieves. As a weapon it can blow fire from its mouth for the duration of its limited charge. As a treasure, these Skulls are valued by the Order of Souls who are willing to buy them in exchange for gold and Reputation (and Emissary Value when sailing as Order of Souls Emissaries).
Mechanics
Every Obsidian Ashen Skull has a charge indicated by the crystals on the skull itself. When held by a player, the Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull can shoot fire by using the Primary Interact (
/
by default). The attack will set anything flammable in its path on fire, like ships or players. While the damage to players is not significant, the ability to rapidly spread flames across enemy ships can be debilitating to its crew. As the skull is used, the crystals will dim until the skull's charge is depleted at which point the crystals lose the glow completely. A full charge can last roughly 45 seconds of use.

Notes
- Picking up and placing Bounty Skulls on a Ship for the first time gives Emissary Grade Reputation to Trading Company Emissaries representing the Order of Souls or Reaper's Bones.
- Bounty Skulls can be placed inside any Container Chests. These Chests hide their glow and allow Players to carry up to three small Treasure items.
- Hiding an Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull inside of a Container Chest is often a good idea, as Obsidian Ashen Winds Skulls left in the open may be picked up and used against you by enemy boarders.
- Unlike other Bounty Skulls with a greenish glow, the Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull emits an orange glow, but also has the White glint of regular Treasure items.
- The Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull has a different whisper to it than other Bounty Skulls.
- All Bounty Skulls can be caught with a Harpoon.
- The Skull's Fire Breath cannot light Beacons or Campfires.
