Greeting! You ain't dead… But it does look like you've got some friends here, so grab a grog and stay as long as you like!

How'd you end up here?

The tavern is my calling. I spent my life keeping sailors fed and watered, hearing their tales of monsters, mermaids and mystery.
Not that I ever believed a word of it! "No truth ever rolled off a pirate's tongue" I used to say… Well look at me now!
There's wonder in every corner of this world, it's up to all of us to find it. I only hope my little girl has realised that… No four walls should put a stop to dreams of freedom and adventure!

Goodbye!

I'm Teddy! You come to join the group for a chat, see what's going on, maybe share a memory of Tasha?

Whata re we chatting about?

Briggsy here, mainly. She's got a bit of explaining to do.
Not to me. To Louise. They were the best of shipmates.
Thick as thieves. But of course, that'd be because they WAS thieves... and twice as thick!
I never held with it myself. But they was free as the wind, the pair of 'em. And then it all went too far.
Louise saved Briggsy, but it cost us all dear. She laid down her life to save that Rogue.

Who's in the group?

Well, me, obviously, I'm Teddy. Then there's my wife, Louise.
She's a tavern keeper like me, but she weren't always.
Louise used to be a pirate - out on the seas, gallivanting about with that Briggsy.
That's why she's the third member of our group. But let's just say their relationship ain't what it used to be.
She's come to make it up with the wife. And good luck to her! Louise don't like being messed about, I can tell ya.

Why are you three gathered here?

Well, we've all been getting reacquainted, like. Haven't seen each other for years.
It's difficult to credit, I know, but I've seen Briggsy more recently than I've seen my own blessed wife.
After we lost Louise 'cos of that Rogue's wild adventurin', she used to come visit the Unicorn tavern.
She was checking in on me, and telling her stories to Tasha... Reckon she was feeling a bit guilty.
And now, Briggsy tells us we're gonna save our Tasha! Using that Sword of Souls she has.

Share a memory of Tasha?

Don't mind if I do! I remember one day at the Unicorn. I was up in the rafters putting up decorations.
I was clowning around for her and fell flat on my face! Course, she was straight over to me. Lifting me with them strong arms of hers.
She was fussin' and had me on a stool by the fire resting up in no time, grog in my hand.
She's a homebird like me and a caring soul, my Tasha. Whenever I think about her, I'm so proud.
She's the best daughter in the whole world! But don't tell her I said that!

Hello! I've been summoned from the Tavern of the Damned to be reunited with my dearest wife...

Who summoned you?

Why, the Pirate Lord himself! Old acquaintance of mine, as it goes.
He's got a scheme up his sleeve, but he hasn't revealed it yet. Always plays his cards close to his chest.
All I know is that it involves me and my wife. We've been apart for so long now; it feels strange to be together again.
It's nice, mind. DOn't get me wrong. I love her with all my heart. Always have. Always will.
I can't believe we spent so long apart. But now we're back together I'm never leaving her.

What's the Tavern of the Damned?

It's the place where I was tavern keeper, in the Sea of the Damned. Making sure all them lost souls never went thirsty.
Till I went there, I used to be close-minded to the idea of the pirate's life. And for good reason.
Then Pendragon made a rousing speech and my views changed. I realised my wife was right to follow her dreams.
I used to say, "No truth ever rolled off a pirate's tongue" - mainly for Tasha's benefit.
But our little girl had too much of her mum in her to be constrained. Briggsy saw that, even when I couldn't.

Wait, who is your wife?

Ha! Don't you know? It's Louise here. Beside me again at last. My wife, and Tasha's dear mum, of course.
See, Louise used to be an adventurous soul. A pirate. And I thought that's what got her killed.
But now I know there's honour in piracy. Least, there can be. .And Louise was a very honourable pirate.
That's why the Pirate Lord offered her a job here. With all the other Legends. Taking on the family business!
I suppose she rubbed off on me and I must have rubbed off on her. That's marriage - and love - for you.

Reunited? What split you up?

Like I say, Louise was a pirate. We met in a tavern where I was working and it was love at first grog!
She was a soaring soul, always yearning for the call of the wind and the sea.
I was a homebird, happy to serve grog, look after Tasha, and hear all those tall tales.
We were total opposites. But somehow we made sense. I'm sure she'll say the same.
It was death that parted us and now we're reunited as ghosts. That makes sense as well, somehow!
