The Obsidian Capstan is a Capstan cosmetic from the Black Dog Set in Sea of Thieves.

The Obsidian Capstan can be obtained by the following methods:

  • Redeeming a code won from a free prize draw ran by Titan Books in December 2019 to celebrate the Festival of Giving (2019) Content Update. (Exclusive to residents of the United Kingdom)[1]
  • Offered as a prize from the Deckhand hosted "Capture a Code" community competition on the Sea of Thieves Forums.
  • Offered as a gift from any Treasured Deckhand

    To be a community member appointed as Community Moderator on one of Sea of Thieves' official social platforms.
    Comes paired with exclusive Deckhand Sails.

     encountered in-game during Community Weekends.
  • Redeeming a code won from various community giveaways or competitions.
  • Earned during Twitch.tv's Support a Streamer campaign from December 6 - December 22, 2024 (10:00 UTC) by gifting a total of 3 Twitch subscriptions for participating Sea of Thieves streamer channels.
