• Seek the Dead was first heard a video from the Official Sea of Thieves Youtube, "Sea of Thieves Short Haul #1: Instruments", from August 2016, and it was then the main soundtrack of the trailer of Festival of the Damned update.
• This shanty could also be heard in music boxes around the Sea of Thieves.
• This shanty is based on the track titled "Music Box Madness 2" from Rare's first Xbox title, Grabbed by the Ghoulies.
