here are my solution notes for someone who is better at editing these pages than me.
Solution notes for the 4 Medallions section of the quest solutions are always the same and they do not randomize or change and do not need "figured out" every time the quest is performed. (as of sept 2022)
Starting with the furthest away vaults from the main gold hoarder coin vault where you take the medallions:
Boat medallion vault:
How to solve it manually
You are expected to go around the island and find the marked locations on the map that appear on the brazier table after it has been lit. The general idea is that there will be a symbol that one of blocks will have on it, in that spot on the island and the number indicates which order they will be in.
The actual solution:
- From Left to right: Kraken - Shark - Turtle - Campfire
- Press the button The vault will open.

Shark medallion vault:
How to solve it manually:
The shark vault requires 3 solutions, One of the 4 stone blocks is cracked. To Solve this you are expected to use the questbook, where there are 3 groups of 4 symbols circled. Each set of circled symbols is the solution, and you are meant to figure out which symbol doesn't belong.
Actual solution:
- First solution: Arrow - bear - Kraken: Press the button
- Second solution: 1-guy/Totem - Boat - Snake: press the button
- Third solution: Turtle - Beetle - Kraken: press the button.
The vault will stop filling with water and open giving you the medallion

Warrior Medallion vault:
How to solve manually:
You "build" the key that is on the banner in the vault. Left is the Bottom of the key going to the right is the top of the key.
The actual solution
- 1st left most block solid diamond
- 2nd block 2 prong end of key
- 3rd block single prong mid of key
- 4th right most block Hollow diamond shape top of key
- press the button the vault will stop filling with water and open.

Kraken Medallion vault:
how to solve manually: Like the book says, all the blocks must be the same You are expected to simply observe each side and figure out which symbol is consistent across all 4 blocks Twice.
This vault has spikes that pop up and instantly kill you.
The spikes will kill you even when there are no spikes where you are standing, so it is best to wait until the spikes are nearly done going around, then quickly turn the block and return to the safe center.
Where it is safe to stand:
- You can safely stand on the center table
- You can safely stand on the stone to the left of the left most block,
- you can safely stand on the stone, between the 2nd and 3rd blocks.
The actual solution:
- 1st solution: All snakes symbol Press the button
- 2nd solution: All 3-people/family symbol press the button. The spikes will stop and vault will open.
Once solved Give the spikes a healthy amount of time to completely disappear before going to claim your medallion or you WILL die.
