Liar's Backbone

Liar's Backbone is a small island located within the region of The Wilds at coordinate S-11.

This island is mostly surrounded by rocks with smaller islands breaking off of it. It is an elevated island with a few patches of vegetation.

The island also features Stitcher Jim's lair in a hidden cave below the island.

Tall Tales

The following Tall Tale objectives take place on this island:

Heart of Fire
Location of Stitcher Jim's Lair. Journal: "We Need a New Plan", on a wooden shelf in the middle of the cave.

The Seabound Soul
Possible location of the Skull of Captain Martha Jane. Journal: "Fighting", at the base of a dead tree atop the island.

Stitcher Jim's Lair

During Forsaken Shores, Stitcher Jim could be found hiding out on the island. During the Heart of Fire Tall Tale it was revealed that Stitcher Jim had set up a hideout in the hidden cave structures of the island. Inside, Players can find various Skeleton Glyph carvings on the walls, a Journal written by Jim and a shrine devoted to Captain Flameheart.

Trivia

• The name of the island comes from the metaphor that liars have no, or in this case, a 'bent' backbone.
