A Pirate's Riddle Quest
A Pirate's Riddle Quest is a Riddle voyage for the Gold Hoarders in Sea of Thieves.
Quest Table
The Voyage can be found under the Gold Hoarders category at the Quest Table's voyage menu.
Before starting the voyage, players can choose how to travel to their location. They can either Sail to Location or Dive to Location. Both options need to be voted on by the crew, while the latter will cause the ship to dive when reaching open seas and resurface at the correct island.
The Voyage
Succesfully voting on A Pirate's Riddle Quest will provide the crew with one Riddle Map having two lines printed on it.
The first riddle will always state the name of the large island and upon setting foot on said island the second and final riddle will become visible.
The final riddle will always direct players to a single landmark of the island, often with general compass directions or descriptions of the location of the landmark. When the players have located the landmark, they will need to stand at the exact location, equip their compass, determine the specific directions stated on the riddle and walk a certain number of steps/paces towards that compass direction. The final treasure will be buried in that direction, exactly that many steps away. Players can count steps by holding their compass close to their face with Primary Use. Once at the correct location, they will have to use their shovel to dig up the treasure item.
The Voyage is considered completed as soon as the chest has been dug up.
