Dimitri of the Silver Blade is the NPC who became Captain of the Silver Blade after Flameheart Junior. His journals are featured in the The Sunken Pearl Tall Tale.
Lore
Dimitri entered the Sea of Thieves with his three crewmates. Together they eventually came across the crewless Silver Blade. Through reading notes left by its previous crew they uncovered that its previously Captain was Flameheart Junior, the son of Flameheart. Believing themselves lucky in finding the adandoned vessel, they claimed it as their own, with Dimitri as its Captain.
Some time later, Dimitiri and his crew had embarked on a lucrative voyage that lead them to an Ancient Vault. They believed this voyage, too, was a lucky day just as their discovery of the Silver Blade. Though no sooner than they had loaded their loot and set sail away, they found themselves being continually persued by persistent Skeleton Ships, which they believed were after an unknown piece of treasure they looted from the Vault.
They sailed far and long to dissuade the Skeleton Ships. This is when one of the treasure chests began to let out a sorrowful cry and unleash unstopping tears that began to fill the ship's hull. They took turns bailing the water, but it soon became the least of their worries as the crying attracted the attention of Sirens. At first Dimitri mistook their new visitors as Merfolk, but the Sirens quickly began attacking the ship and singing the same sorrowful tune as the cry from the chest. Dimitri took cover in his cabin as the Sirens dragged each of his crewmates deep into the water. As the Sirens battered away at his cabin door with their Tridents of Dark Tides, Dimitiri wrote his final journal entry, a warning of impending doom to any who would later find his journal and the Silver Blade.
