The Gilded Voyage of Restitution is a free Voyage given to players by Rare Ltd as compensation for widespread technical issues such as issues preventing Gold, Reputation, and Renown from being awarded during a set time.
A player may only have one Gilded Voyage of Restitution in their Voyage inventory at a time, however it does not overwrite other Gilded Voyages purchased during any Festival of Giving events[1].
The Voyage
The Gilded Voyage of Restitution is functionally similar to Gilded Hoard Voyage as a single chapter Voyage with 8 X Marks the Spot Maps with varying number of X's.
Chapter 1:
- 8 X Marks the Spot Maps across the three main regions, totaling around 44 Captain's Chests per Voyage.
Availability
The Gilded Voyage of Restitution has been made available to eligible players from the following instances:
- Players who logged into Sea of Thieves on April 24, 2022 between 3:00am UTC and 8:00am UTC.[2]
- Originally intended to be distributed to eligible player accounts on April 25, 2022, then distributed on April 27, 2022 following a technical issues[3].
- Players who logged into Sea of Thieves between August 4 (11:30am UTC) and August 5, 2022 (10:59pm UTC). [4]
- To be distributed following the announcement made on August 8, 2022, within a 72 hour period.
- Players affected by an issue with ship cosmetics not saving across sessions between August 4, 2022 and October 6, 2022. [5]
- In addition to the voyage, affected players will receive an amount of gold in relation to the number of failed save attempts.
- To be distributed following the announcement made on October 6, 2022, within a 72 hour period.
