Gold Pouch
The Gold Pouch is a small treasure item found through emergent gameplay.
Mechanics
The Gold Pouch looks like a small burlap bag with a rope tied around the tip. The gold pouch may be inspired by the icons found when purchasing gold from the Bilge Rats or as Season Rewards.
After a player interacts with a Gold Pouch, they will be rewarded with anywhere between 160-600 gold depending on what dropped the pouch. This gold is shared between Crew Members and Crew Alliances.
Large Gold Pouches are identical to Gold Pouches, but they reward 1000 gold instead of 160-600. Large Gold Pouches have the same model and behaviour but can only be found in Ashen Chests.
Obtaining
Gold Pouches can be found in quantities of 1-4 from the following sources:
- Dropped by an Emergent, Voyage, or Fort Skeleton Captain upon defeat.
- Dropped by a Skeleton Captain or Skeleton Lord upon defeat.
- Chance to be dropped by a Phantom upon defeat. (Ghostly variant)
Gold Pouches are also found inside Sea Forts in the following quantities:
- 0-2 Pouches in the Store Room
- 0-4 Pouches on top of tables or cabinets
- 6-9 Pouches inside Hidden Stashes
Notes
- Gold Pouches dropped by Phantoms have a ghostly green transparency that can make them difficult to spot in the daylight, especially among grass or in water.
