Grogmanay is a time-limited New Years themed Event in Sea of Thieves. The Event begins on December 30, 2020 and lasts until January 20, 2021. The Event provides players with 6 "explosive" Goals to complete that reward unique Cosmetics. The Cosmetics will become available for purchase at Outpost Shops and the Pirate Emporium after the Event.

Players can track their progress in-game through the Event Menu, as well as on the Event Hub page.

See in the New Year with a bang by taking part in our explosive Grogmanay event! Blast and burn your way through all six Challenges to earn rewards including the most precious prize for all piratical party-starters: the Paradise Garden Cannon Flare.

Rewards

There are 3 Cosmetic Rewards rewarded for every two completed Goals in the Grogmanay Challenge.

Trivia

  • Grogmanay is a reference to Hogmanay, the Scottish word for the last day of the year and the celebration of the New Year.
  • The Scald Lang Syne and Never Brought to Mind goals are a reference to the Scots-language poem "Auld Lang Syne", which written by Robert Burns in 1788.
