Signal Flare
The Signal Flare is a Resource item that can be fired from the cannon to create a bright beacon visible from afar.
Mechanics
When the cannon is fired, the flare will burn a 3-second fuse before setting off, travelling in a straight line over 4 seconds. It will then explode, suspended in the air and emit a pulsating light for 47 seconds. It will begin to shrink after 40 seconds elapse.
While a Signal Flare is emitting light, Shadow Skeletons within range will become tangable.
A travelling flare will explode prematurely upon colliding with solid objects, this explosion will not activate the flare but may start a fire if struck upon a ship.
Signal Flares share inventory space with Fireworks, allowing the player to carry up to 10 altogether. Signal Flares can be stored in the Cannonball Barrel and Fireworks Crate.
Where to find
- Every Ship will start with a small stock of Signal Flares of both colours which can be found in each Cannonball Barrel.
- Found across the Sea of Thieves in Barrels, Rowboats and Storage Crates.
