The Unfired Pistol is a large tavern known to serve pirates outside of The Sea of Thieves. The Tavern is owned by Rowenna, a childhood friend of Ramsey Singh, and operated by a number of barmaids.
History
While it's unknown when exactly the tavern opened, The Unfired Pistol (then going by another, unknown, name) began as an obscure costal tavern employing the hot-headed Rowenna as its only barmaid. As a gift for introducing him to the woman who would later become his wife, Ramsey Singh would buy the Tavern off its original owners and give it to Rowenna. In the decades following, Rowenna would transform the obscure drinking hole into one of the largest and most dependably disreputable taverns on the coast, earning no small amount of influence in the town which the tavern is situated in.
Some stretch of time later, the tavern would play a role in the discovery of The Sea of Thieves, serving as the initial meeting place for Ramsey and his prospective quartermaster Shan, who came highly recommended by Rowenna. After returning from their first voyage to The Sea of Thieves, the Tavern would be the first place Ramsey would pay a visit. Soon thereafter, a dispute between a young Stitcher Jim and Ramsey would plunge the Tavern's patrons into a brawl so lengthy, soldiers had to be called in to break up the fight.
At some point in the future, Rowenna would receive a cursed pistol as a gift from Ramsey, who was by then known as the Pirate Lord. The pistol's curse would prevent gunpowder from igniting within some vicinity of it, rendering firearms useless within its presence. The tavern would come to take its name from the firearm, now hanging over the Tavern's bar, becoming known as The Unfired Pistol some time before the events of the Sea of Thieves Comic Book Series.
