The Morningstar Set is a cosmetic set in Sea of Thieves that acts as a homage to one of the first crews of renown in the Sea of Thieves sailing the Morningstar. These Set pieces feature a red and white star motif, with a brown-bear as a Figurehead for the Ship. The Morningstar was crewed by Captain Eli Slate, the ghost of whom Players can encounter during The Fate of the Morningstar Tall Tale. The Ship itself can be found shipwrecked south of Boulder Cay, which players will find during the Revenge of the Morningstar Tall Tale. The Ship Set Cosmetics can all be unlocked by completing Commendations for these two Tall Tales. The Clothing and Vanity Morningstar Items are acquired at the end of the first Chapter of the Revenge of the Morningstar Tall Tale. The clothing and vanity items are only available during the remainder of the Tall Tale and will disappear from Player inventory once the Tale has been completed. However, Players can receive a checkpoint of the Tall Tale and vote on it at the Voyage Table, but not complete the Tale to have access to the Clothes at any time.

A green, decorated version titled the Rising Morningstar Set was rewarded to players for completing challenges for the time-limited Tall Tales Retold Event that ran between June 4th - June 9th, 2020.
