Dialogue
The Journey to Mêlée Island
Before visiting the Scumm Bar for the first time:
Hey, do mind? I'm dealing with a professional crisis here and don't need to be interrupted by every passing pirate. Go visit the Scumm Bar like everyone else.
When examining the Cute Monkey Toy:
That's a cute stuffed toy modelled after the Three-Headed Monkey of Monkey Island. Very popular with kids and animals, or so I'm told.
When examining the History Book:
That's fresh stock. A history book detailing the proud heritage of Mêlée Island and out beloved Governor. Tells you everything you need to know.
When examining the Monkey Island Figurines:
Hey now. Supplies of the Legend of Monkey Island figurine set are still limited, so there's a long waiting list and your name is not even on it. Hands off!
After visiting the Scumm Bar for the first time:
Sorry, but these items here? They're display models. Not for sale.
You only have the display models?
Hey, it's not my fault these 'Legend of Monkey Island' action figures are hot property. My latest shipment got sunk down at the docks just as it arrived.
I'm trying to meet that 'Legend'...
Oh, then you'd need an exclusive Legend of Monkey Island Meet 'n' Greet ticket, one of which I just so happen to have. Only ONE in existence!
But I can tell just by looking at you that you can't afford such a sought-after item... Maybe we can work out some kind of deal.
Tell you what. If you can bring me my missing cargo, I'll not only give you the ticket free of charge, I'll be able to sell you some other mementos. Deal? Deal. Now get going!-

Upon delivering the Crate of Important Goods:
After delivering the Crate of Important Goods:
Gold's no good to me. If you want to buy something, you'll need to cough up Pieces o' Eight. Preferably not literally.
You don't accept gold coins?
Nope. The Tri-lsland Chamber of Commerce specifically banned gold-based transactions, in case cursed currency somehow makes its way into the ecosystem.
I heard there was this one ship where the crew... Well, anyway, only authentic silver Pieces o' Eight are legal tender on Mélée Island.
And where can I get those?
What do I look like, a career advisor? Come back when you've got something to spend.
Oh, and before you ask, I am fresh out of treasure maps.-
-
-
-
About that Meet 'n' Greet ticket...
Hey, that transaction has been concluded. I got my cargo, you get your chance to schmooze with the Legend of Monkey Island.
Everything else will cost you. If you see something you like, just ask me about it.-

-
Nice parrot.
What parrot?

After defeating LeChuck's guards:
Sorry, but that Meet 'n' Greet ticket is one-use only, even in the unlikely event of pirate invasion. No refunds!
Did you see that battle just now?
Yeah, I saw, but business is business. This street corner here is my livelihood. It'll take more than a few grouchy ghost pirates to make me get lost.-

The Quest for Guybrush
When examining the Monkey Island Figurines:
Hey now. Supplies of the Legend of Monkey Island figurine set are still limited, so there's a long waiting list and your name is not even on it. Hands off!
When examining the Treasure Map:
That's a map to the Legendary Lost Treasure of Mélée Island. Only one in existence! If you really are a pirate, you won't want to pass it up.
Initial Interaction: (Fourth interaction is unlocked after you speak with Corina and the Pirate Leaders)

Who buys all these figurines?
That's privileged client-vendor confidentiality, friend. All you need to know is that they're so popular, I keep running out of stock.
Of course, it's also true that they break easily and need replacing... Heh heh heh.-
-

-
Nice parrot.
What parrot?

My coin pouch is empty. Could I trade you for your map?
A trade? Hmm, I don't think so. The only maps in town that are more valuable than mine belong to the Legend of Monkey Island.
Maybe I could be convinced to accept a chart from one of the Governor's adventures. That'd be worth a small fortune for me... and a map for you.
The shelves in that old mansion must be packed with all kinds of treasures. Next time you're in the area, see what you can swipe.
After giving him Guybrush's Signed Sea Chart:
After freeing Guybrush:
Looks like we'll need to elect a new Governor... As a successful entrepreneur, maybe I should run for office?
