Season Fourteen is the fourteenth season in Sea of Thieves. It is scheduled to begins sometime in 2024.
Season Fourteen
Season 14 will be focused on expanding the sandbox by adding new stealth and trickery mechanics.
New Mechanics
Stealth mechanics
- Crouching could possibly be added, letting players sneak by enemies unseen.
- The ability to hang off the side of a ship is being considered.
- Fake treasure disguises like hiding in carryable chests to sneak onto ships are a possibility.
Utility/Tools
- Blow Dart Gun
- A magical dart gun with special darts has been mentioned, with some dart ideas being:
- Sleep / Poison darts
- Darts that play fake sound effects on impact (ie making a ladder noise by hitting a ladder, mast breaking noise by hitting the mast)

- Throwable Traps
- Traps were also mentioned, including things like spring traps or bear traps to ambush players or NPC enemies.
- Grappling Gun
- A gun that, instead of dealing damage, allows the player to grapple loot and presumably players like a harpoon, or shoot terrain to grapple around islands or onto enemy ships.
- Uses arrowheads rather than normal ammo.
