Season Twelve is the twelfth season in Sea of Thieves. It began on April 30, 2024 and ended on July 25, 2024, lasting a total of just over 12 weeks.

Trials

In addition to regularly earned Renown, the Season 12 Trials offer an additional boost of Renown.

Plunder Pass

Purchasing the Plunder Pass will grant players access to Pirate Emporium items and additional Ancient Coins as Season Eleven Rewards. These cosmetic items are early-access items that will be released at a later date after the Season ends.

Trivia

• While a new title screen for Season 12 had been shown on X/Twitter in advance, the title screen kept the same visuals as first seen in patch 2.10.3 (Season 11) until patch 3.0.1, Season 12's second monthly patch. This is possibly to allow more time for the first title screen due to the short timespan between the patch and Season 12's release.
