Throwables are a unique type of resource item in Sea of Thieves. They can be thrown by the player, or shot from cannons.
Usage
A throwable can be equipped by opening the Item Radial, opening the "Throwables" sub-menu with E /, then selecting the chosen throwable.
- Throw:
Primary Use
will launch the throwable upon release. Holding the button will prepare a throw until released. - Offer item:
Secondary Use
will extend the hand out, allowing the throwable to be taken by another player. - Cannons: Throwables can also be placed inside Cannons to be fired great distances.

- Deals damage and knockback to opponents, or only knockback to ships.
- Bone Caller:
- Summon 3 friendly skeletons that will fight alongside you and your crew for a limited time or until their destruction
Where to find
Throwables can be found from the following sources:
- 2 Firebombs and Blunderbombs spawn in every Cannonball Barrel of a Ship.
- Randomly inside Barrels
- Randomly inside Rowboat Chests
- Randomly inside Storage Crates
- Firebombs can be found inside unearthed Firebomb Crates.
Storage
- Up to 5 Throwables can be held in a player's inventory at one time.
- A single Throwable can be loaded into any Cannon and picked up from it.
- Up to 100 Throwables can be stored in one storage space of a Barrel at a time. A single Ship's Cannonball Barrel can carry up to 3 pages worth (i.e. 4800) of Throwables.
- Up to 20 Throwables can be stored in one storage space of the Rowboat Chest. A single Rowboat's Chest can carry a maximum of 2 pages worth (i.e. 640) of Throwables.
- Up to 100 Throwables can be stored in one storage space of a Storage Crate. A single Storage Crate can carry up to 1800 Throwables.
