The following is a list of all Trials available in Season One. Completing all Deeds in a Trial awards the player with a boost in Renown for the Season.

Perform a sharp 'anchor turn' move.

Novice Story Seeker
The Sea of Thieves is full of Tall Tales. Experience one for yourself as part of this swift Trial.
Speak to the Mysterious Stranger in any tavern.
Begin any Tall Tale. The first is 'The Shroudbreaker', a book found next to the Mysterious Stranger in any Tavern.
During 'The Shroudbreaker' Tall Tale, recover the ship log of the Magpie's Wing.

Novice Merchant
Join forces with the Merchant Alliance and ferry goods across the waves in this swift Trial.
Deliver a Cargo Run's items to their destination in any condition.
Hand in a Gunpowder Barrel to the Merchant Alliance.
Hand in an animal to the Merchant Alliance.

Novice Bilge Rat
Bilge Rats crave adventure and excitement. Get a taste of it by completing this swift Trial.
Speak to Larinna outside any tavern.
Kill a shark using a Gunpowder Barrel.
Hand in an Ashen Key, Ashen Chest or Ashen Tome to Larinna or to the Reaper's Bones.

Proficient Voyager
Take on varied Voyages from the Trading Companies and earn their trust in this grand Trial.
Finish a Voyage for each of the Trading Companies. (3)
Use the Captain's Table to vote on a Voyage. (10)
Sail miles across the sea while on a Voyage. (50)

Proficient Sailor
Prove that you can fearlessly steer your ship by completing this grand Trial.
Race alongside another crew's ship - no firing!

Proficient Story Seeker
Seeking out and conquering Tall Tales from across the Sea of Thieves will also conquer this grand Trial.
Discover and read Journals while on a Tall Tale. (3)
Successfully complete Tall Tales. (3)
Reach a checkpoint in at least 6 Tall Tales. (6)

Proficient Merchant
Precision and punctuality will be needed to please the Merchants and finish this grand Trial.
Deliver a Cargo Run's Items on time and in perfect condition.
Hand in a chicken, pig and a snake. (3)
Hand in a Stronghold Gunpowder Barrel.

Proficient Scorcher
You'll need to overcome fire, ash and falling rocks to conquer this heated grand Trial.
Set foot on any island within The Devil's Roar.
Collect a red Flame of Fate from the Ferry.
Complete any Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls or Athena's Fortune Voyage within The Devil's Roar.
Deliver Devil's Roar Cargo Run items in any condition.
Hand in a Chest of Rage.

Proficient Bilge Rat
Earn some real respect from the Bilge Rats by handing in valuable treasures in this grand Trial.
Deliver both an Ashen Chest and Ashen Key to Larinna or to the Reaper's Bones. (2)
Deliver an Ashen Tome to Larinna or to the Reaper's Bones.
Locate and speak with Duke, former Bilge Rat, wherever he may be lurking.

Expert Sailor
Only those who can claim to tame the waves will succeed at this epic Trial.

When you've completed this epic Trial, you'll have plenty of Tall Tales of your own to tell!

Expert Scorcher
Only embracing the geysers and volcanoes of The Devil's Roar will see this epic Trial completed.

Deliver Devil's Roar Cargo Run items, on time and in perfect condition. (8)

Set foot on an island somewhere on the waves.
Speak to Umbra at her camp located on the Lagoon of Whispers.

Aspiring Scavenger
The sea provides! Learn to harvest nature's riches with this swift Trial.
Catch a wild animal in a cage.
Start an island campfire at night and cook some food.
Pick up treasure that's been washed up on a shore.

Aspiring Historian
Learn the legends of pirates past in this swift Trial, delving into the greatest stories ever told.
Find and read one of Umbra's Journals.
Find and examine some of Umbra's Immortalisations.
Speak to Umbra at her camp located on the Lagoon of Whispers.

Aspiring Lightbringer
How you died is reflected in the Ferry's Well of Fates. Claim the Flames to complete this swift Trial.
Acquire a Flame of Fate from the Ferry.
Use your lantern to light a beacon with any Flame of Fate.
Light all your ship's lanterns with a mix of blue and white Flames of Fate.

Aspiring Pioneer
Your Maiden Voyage began just beyond the Sea of Thieves. Relive it in this swift Trial.
Catch a fish on Old Sailor Isle.
Find any Journal on Old Sailor Isle.
Complete the Maiden Voyage.

Accomplished Pioneer
Dig deep into the hidden secrets of the Maiden Voyage to complete this grand Trial.
Cook some chicken on a campfire on Old Sailor Isle.
Find a Rowboat on Old Sailor Isle.
Fire yourself from the cannon of the wrecked ship on Old Sailor Isle.

Accomplished Explorer
The more you venture out into the world, the closer you'll come to completing this grand Trial.
Find and destroy a Cursed Mermaid Statue.
Set foot on an island in each of the four regions. (4)
Visit a Skeleton Fort.
Visit a Seapost.

Accomplished Scavenger
Search high and low for valuables, then sell them on for a profit to complete this grand Trial.
Hand in a Shipwrecked Chest to the Gold Hoarders.
Hand in a supply crate of any kind.
Hand in an Ashen Chest to Larinna or the Reaper's Bones.

Accomplished Historian
Gaining a more complete understanding of legendary pirates is the key to this grand Trial.
Find some of Umbra's Immortalisations. (5)

Throne Seeker
Sitting in Skeleton Thrones across the Sea of Thieves will see this grand Trial defeated.
Sail to Thieves' Haven.
Sit on the Throne at Thieves' Haven.
Sit on a Throne hidden in a sunken cave on K-9.

Throne Climber
Skeleton Thrones high overhead must be reached to complete this grand Trial.
Sit in the Throne at Shipwreck Bay with another crew.
Sit in the Throne atop Devil's Ridge.
Sit in the Throne atop Hidden Spring Keep.
Sit in the Throne atop Mermaid's Hideaway.

Accomplished Statue Smasher
Cursed Mermaid Statues lurk beneath the waves. Destroy them to complete this grand Trial.
Hand in a Mermaid Gem to the Gold Hoarders.
Hand in a Mermaid Gem to the Merchant Alliance.
Hand in a Mermaid Gem to the Order of Souls.
Destroy all three kinds of Cursed Mermaid Statue. (3)

Master Explorer
Visiting every last corner of the Sea of Thieves is the only way to complete this epic Trial.
Open Treasure Vaults.
Ring the bell high atop the Sea Dog's Tavern.
Find a way to reach the Shores of Gold.

Master of Thrones
Ascending to every Skeleton Throne and taking your rightful place will defeat this epic Trial.
Sit in all small Skeleton Thrones. (5)

Master Statue Smasher
Complete this epic Trial and ensure that the seas are that much safer for unwary pirates.

Ambitious Reaper
Ally with The Reaper's Bones in a swift, but risky, Trial.
Hand in any type of skull to the Servant of the Flame.
Hand in a Reaper's Chest or Reaper's Bounty Chest to the Reapers.
Become an Emissary for The Reaper's Bones.

Ambitious Firestarter
Fire can be a hazard, but also an opportunity. Fan the flames in this swift, smoky Trial.
Find a way to set a skeleton on fire.
Catch a Devilfish within The Devil's Roar.
Set foot on any island within The Devil's Roar.

Infamous Reaper
As a loyal follower of The Reaper's Bones, you'll need aggression and cunning for this grand Trial.
Hand in a broken Emissary Flag as a Reaper's Bones Emissary.
Purchase and equip the Reaper's Bones Costume as a Reaper's Bones Emissary.
Hit a ship with a firebomb fired from a cannon.
Reach Grade 3 as a Reaper's Bones Emissary.

Infamous Mercenary
As your fame increases, you'll need to take on more difficult targets to complete this grand Trial.
Destroy Skeleton Captains. (10)
Hand in Villainous Bounty Skulls to the Order of Souls or the Reaper's Bones. (3)
Destroy an Ashen Guardian.

Defiant Reaper
Handing in loot that exposes your position is no easy feat, but will complete this grand Trial.
Hand in broken Reaper's Bones Emissary Flags as a Reaper's Bones Emissary. (3)

Ghost Hunter
Clear the seas of spirits and spectres to complete this grand, spine-tingling Trial.
Complete a Ghost Ship Voyage for the Order of Souls.

Defeat Flameheart's flagship, the Burning Blade.

Warsmith
Follow in the footsteps of an infamous Skeleton Lord to finish this warmongering grand Trial.
Rock another crew's ship using a Wraith Cannonball.
Hit a ship with different types of purple Cursed Cannonball, while flying the Reaper's Mark flag. (3)
Read Wanda's Journal on Thieves' Haven.

Infamous Detonator
The colossal kabooms of Gunpowder Barrels are the only way to defeat this grand Trial.
Explode Gunpowder Skeletons in a chain reaction.
Take out a group of 3 skeletons using a Gunpowder Skeleton.
Kill a shark using a Gunpowder Barrel.

Infamous Firestarter
The heat is turned up in this fiery grand Trial, which is all about setting things ablaze.
Burn a group of 3 skeletons at the same time.
Burn skeletons using an Ashen Winds Skull. (50)
Hit a ship with a firebomb fired from a cannon.

Deadly Hunter
This epic Trial will see you battling the most dangerous creatures of all - sea monsters!
Capture animals in cages. (50)
Disable tentacles while fighting the Kraken. (20)
Defeat different breeds of Megalodon. (3)
Find and defeat the Kraken.

Deadly Mercenary
Only an undisputed skeleton slayer will make it through this epic Trial and live to tell the tale.
Hand in all types of Bounty Skulls to the Order of Souls. (9)
Defeat every Skeleton Lord on land at least once. (10)
Equip the Order of Souls Costume and ship livery as an Order of Souls Emissary.
Light up a Skeleton Ship using an Ashen Winds Skull.

Deadly Reaper
Completing this epic Trial will prove your eternal, unwavering loyalty to The Reaper's Bones.

Destroy a group of 3 Gold Skeletons using one Gunpowder Skeleton.
Destroy a group of 3 Plant Skeletons using one Gunpowder Skeleton.
Destroy a group of 3 Shadow Skeletons using one Gunpowder Skeleton.
Destroy a group of 5 skeletons using one Gunpowder Skeleton, at a Fort, with another crew present.

Alliance Adept
Whether sinking Reapers or forging Alliances, this epic Trial requires locating other crews.
Defeat Flameheart's Ghost Ships while in an Alliance. (5)
Hand in a broken Grade 5 Reaper Emissary Flag as a Reaper's Bones Emissary.
Finish the Fort of the Damned while in an Alliance.

Conquer the many challenges of the pirate life.

Apprentice Cook
Demonstrate your culinary craft and fill your belly with this swift Trial.
Cook a piece of food until burnt.
Cook a piece of meat to perfection.
Eat perfectly cooked Trophy Fish of any kind. (2)

Party Pirate
Relax, raise a tankard and get to grips with celebrating your misdeeds in this swift Trial.
Drink so much grog that your pirate is sick.
Play a shanty together with three other pirates in Adventure Mode.

Apprentice Hunter
This swift Trial helps you get used to catching and cooking hearty meals in the wilderness.
Go fishing and catch a fish.
Hand in cooked animal meat to The Hunter's Call.
Hand in any Trophy Fish to The Hunter's Call. Cook it to perfection and earn more gold for it!

Apprentice Diplomat
Not every encounter needs to end in a fight. Practise your people skills in this swift Trial.
Finish a Cargo Run Voyage while in an Alliance.
Form an Alliance with another crew.
Let another crew cash in one of your chests.

Socialite
Learn how to make merry, quench your thirst and have fun with this swift Trial.
Drink with another crew while at any Outpost.
Greet another pirate on the Ferry of the Damned, using a Pirate Chat phrase.
Play an instrument while aboard your ship as it sinks.

Experienced Crewmate
You'll learn to defend your crew and take bigger risks as you work to complete this grand Trial.
Block another pirate's attack, then strike them!
Revive a fallen crewmate before they die.
Hoard a number of chests at once. (5)

Experienced Diplomat
Your skill at forming and maintaining Alliances will be tested during this grand Trial.
Defeat a Skeleton Ship while in an Alliance.
Defeat Flameheart's Ghost Ships while in an Alliance.
Be in an Alliance with all ships' lanterns the same colour.

Experienced Reveller
Your tankard skills are the talk of the tavern - perfect for handling this grand Trial.
Drink with another crew while at any Outpost.
Defeat skeletons that have been affected by a Grogball. (10)
Throw a bucket of vomit on an enemy pirate holding a sword.

Experienced Hunter
Seeking larger, more dangerous prey will be a necessary peril when completing this grand Trial.
Catch Trophy Fish. (3)
Hand in pieces of cooked Megalodon or Shark meat to The Hunter's Call. (5)
Defeat a Megalodon.

Thrillseeker
Tackling these daring Deeds will pile on the pressure - and complete this epic Trial!
