Season Seven Community Day is a special 24-hour event to celebrate theSea of Thieves community, offering login rewards, Twitch Drops, boosted renown and a Community Emissary Grade multiplier on gold and reputation that could be boosted by the player community using the Twitter hashtag #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay (to a max of 2.5x), resulting in an increase in Ancient Skeleton spawns.

The Season Seven Community Day ran from September 17, 2022 (10:00 UTC) to September 18, 2022 (10:00 UTC).

Official summary

Buckle up, pirates! The next Sea of Thieves Community Day has been marked in the schedule, and it’s set to be an absolutely storming celebration of piratical antics and community creativity. It’s coming up quickly on the horizon, too – kicking off at 10am UTC on Saturday, September 17th and lasting a full 24 hours. And it’s nestled into the heart of wider Talk Like A Pirate Day celebrations taking place across a long weekend, meaning that there’s even more than usual up for grabs!

Rewards

Gold and reputation multiplier

All tweets made with the hashtag #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay over the duration of the community event were counted into the Community Emissary Grade, with more tweets resulting in a higher multiplier on gold and reputation, up to a maximum of a 2.5x until the end of the event.

Note: Unlike previous events, Gold Rush was disabled for the duration of Community Day.

Ancient Skeleton spawn rate increase

When the Community Emissary Grade multiplier reached grade 5, the spawn rate of Ancient Skeletons increases for all players until the end of the event. If you hear their jingle, you have a short amount of time to defeat the gold and blue skeleton to retrieve some of its Ancient Coins for use in the Pirate Emporium.

Note: The rewards from Ancient Skeletons are shared with your crew, but not alliance members. If it dies due to the environment, no reward will be provided.

Renown multiplier

For the duration of the event a fixed multiplier on renown was in effect, allowing players to increase their level in Season Seven seasonal progression at a faster rate.

Free cosmetics

All players who joined a game session during the event were automatically gifted the Season Seven Community Day Flag.

Twitch Drops

Additionally, the Gilded Phoenix Hull could be earned as a Twitch Drop by watching 1 hour of any participating Sea of Thieves streamer.

Talk Like a Pirate Day rewards

Five days of Talk Like a Pirate Day celebrations ran over the weekend of Community Day, from September 15th to 20th, 2022 (10:00 UTC). Festivities included two free emotes, a selection of free fireworks, and emporium discounts.

Talk Like a Pirate Day free cosmetics

All players who join a game session between September 15th and 20th will be rewarded the Arrrgh! Emote, while the Ranting Rogue Emote can be picked up for free from the Pirate Emporium within the same timeframe.

Merchandise sale

A celebratory sale was made available on the Sea of Thieves merchandise store on September 17th 2022, where all Sea of Thieves themed merchandise was discounted by 30% with the use of the promotional code COMMUNITYDAY at checkout.

During the sale, a limited Community Day t-shirt was also made available for $17.99 USD, as well as a physical Season Seven Community Day Flag for $34.99 USD.
