The Generous Gift is a type of Gift Item in Sea of Thieves. The contents of these Gifts are a mystery, however, the Reaper's Bones Company seems to value these packages and is willing to reward players with Doubloons and Reputation for them. There are various Commendations for gifting these packages to other Crews and having them sell the gifts instead.

Where to find

Generous Gifts are the rarer type of Gift and can be found in the following locations:

1-2 Gifts are guaranteed to appear inside the Fortress Vault of a completed Skeleton Fort.
Chance for 1-2 Gifts to appear onboard the Burning Blade.
Rewards from various time-limited Mercenary Voyages.
Chance to dig up on X Marks the Spot Maps from Skeleton's Orders dropped by Emergent Skeleton Captains, prior to Season 11.

Rewards

Generous Gifts can be sold to The Servant of the Flame at The Reaper's Hideout for Doubloons and Reaper's Bones Reputation and Emissary Value (if sailing as a Reaper's Bones Emissary).

Notes

Picking up and placing Gifts on a Ship for the first time gives Emissary Grade Reputation to Emissary Ships representing the Reaper's Bones.
Gifts can be stored in any Container Chests.
Gifts give off a White Glint from a distance.
Gifts can be caught with a Harpoon.
Having other Crews sell Gifts acquired by your Crew give Commendations
Gifts used to be guaranteed from Skeleton's Orders Quests acquired from Skeleton Fort Skeleton Lords, but were later replaced with Rag & Bone Crates instead.
