The Devil's Roar
The Devil's Roar is a region in the south-eastern Sea of Thieves characterized by its harsh, volcanic environment. The region is composed of a mixture of small and large rocky Islands usually formed around the region's numerous Volcanoes, covered with scorched plant life and red crystalline growths.
The Devil's Roar is extremely dangerous to unprepared explorers entering its waters. Its Islands pose a number of threats to any explorers in the form of active Volcanoes that can erupt at any time, boiling hot waters, frequent earthquakes and erupting Geysers that can appear anywhere at any time. On top of this, the usual assortment of Enemies ranging from Skeletons to Phantoms and Ocean Crawlers can be found in this hostile environment.
The Devil's Roar is not under the control of any particular Trading Company. However most Treasure found within The Devil's Roar is imbued with Ashen magic, making them significantly more valuable than their regular counterparts. As such, a series of high-risk, high-reward Ashen Voyages are available for the region in the Captain's Table Voyages Menu.
At Morrow's Peak Outpost, Grace Morrow is looking for any signs of the extremely rare Box of Wondrous Secrets.
Despite its harsh climate, The Devil's Roar is home to Devilfish.

Treasure
The Devil's Roar is home to various "Ashen" versions of regular Treasure Chests, Trinkets, Bounty Skulls, Cargo Crates, Trade Good Crates and the Ashen Chest of Legends that are worth 150-200% their original value. These items are the main rewards for Ashen Voyages taking place in The Devil's Roar but can also be found anywhere at random and additionally as a reward from the Ashen Lords World Event. These types of treasure are signified by orange glowing veins covering the item.
In addition to the Ashen variants of normal treasure, there is a very rare chance to find a Box of Wondrous Secrets washed up on the shores of any island within The Devil's Roar. This unique treasure is sold for a staggering 25,000 to Grace Morrow or The Servant of the Flame.
Sea Volcanoes
The Devil's Roar is home to 5 uncharted Sea Volcanoes that can erupt at any time. Despite Small Islands in the Roar not having any active volcanoes of their own, they all lie within the radius of these Sea Volcanoes. However, the radius varies with each eruption, so the small islands may not always all be affected. The coordinates for the Sea Volcanoes are as follows: X-12, V-15, Y-19, V-20, and Y-25.
Trivia
- Before the spread of goods across all Regions, The Devil's Roar was the only region where Pirates could obtain the rare Kraken and Ocean Crawler themed Items, along with a small selection of Forsaken Ashes and Bone Crusher type Items.
