Silver Blade Set
These items are earned as rewards for being part of the Insider Programme.The Silver Blade Set is a set of cosmetic items for pioneering sailors daring enough to scout uncharted waters. The set is adorned with a stylistic compass symbol with rhombus shaped gems; the colour palette is of blue, grey, and whites, with highlights of cyan/turquoise. The Black Dog Set, Mercenary Set, and Aristocrat Set share similar base models for many of their items.
These items are obtainable exclusively through the Insider Programme as part of its reward scheme. Players receive rewards every week of at least 1 hour (non-consecutive) playtime on the the Insider build; the Silver Blade items are awarded every 5th week until the 30th week. Starting on the 31st week, the rest of the Silver Blade items are awarded every 3rd week, except on the 37th week, from that point on until the 108th week. Lore
The Silver Blade was briefly owned and captained by Captain Flameheart's adopted son (The Servant of the Flame) during his life as a human. He sailed the ship into the Sea of Thieves seeking adventure and riches like those in his father's stories. An encounter with rival pirates lead to the ship's unfortunate end. It was later raised from the depths by Merfolk and found by Captain Dimitri and his crew, but their time with the ship was also short-lived as they were attacked and sunk by Sirens for carrying the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow. The wreck of the Silver Blade now rests in the Siren Citadel.
Trivia
- The figurehead of the Silver Blade is described as a "spellbinding portrayal of a girl setting free a dove [...] gripped by [what is presumed to be] the cold hands of death". This figurehead can be spotted in the Shrine of Ocean's Fortune.
- The Silver Blade Figurehead from the Silver Blade Set offers an alternate figurehead of a white eagle, while the Aristocrat Figurehead uses the design depicting the girl and dove.
- The Silver Blade logo shares the logo with the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme.
