The Eye of Reach is a scoped rifle type Weapon in Sea of Thieves.
Usage
The Eye of Reach is a powerful sniper rifle that fires a single shot up to a great range, but is highly inaccurate from hip fire. The Eye of Reach has a cartridge of 5 Shots that need to be reloaded at an Ammo Chest or an Armoury once empty. The Scope focuses the player's view in a manner similar to the Spyglass, causing the lens to reflect moonlight and sunlight, giving away your location from afar. The Eye of Reach has no traditional targeting reticle, but does have two lens cracks that intersect at the center, which can be used for targeting and aiming for precise shots. A single Eye of Reach shot does 70% damage to a Player, making just two precise hits enough to kill someone. As with the Flintlock the Eye of Reach's bullets also shoot at a slight arc, so aim repositioning is required to hit far-away targets. Basic Skeletons only take one shot to be killed, while Bounty Voyage and Skeleton Fort Skeletons require 1-3 shots to be killed. Athena's Fortune Voyage Skeletons take around 3-4 shots to be killed. 4 Eye of Reach shots are required to destroy a Sapphire Cursed Mermaid Statue.
Notes
Some Eye of Reach variants have tinted scopes:
- The Launch Crew Eye of Reach, Cronch Eye of Reach and Soulflame Eye of Reach all share a green-tinted scope.
- The Reaper's Heart Eye of Reach has a rose-tinted scope.
- The X Marks the Spot Eye of Reach has a gold-tinted scope.

- Improvements have been made to how hit detection calculates bullets affected by gravity, providing a small improvement to hit registration for the Eye of Reach when firing at medium to long-distance targets.
- Players who are Sleeping will now consistently take damage from Eye of Reach shots.

- Eye of Reach Hipfire – Reduced accuracy when hipfiring the Eye of Reach. Under pressure you can still get lucky with a Hip-Fired Eye of Reach shot, however at mid to long range this is significantly reduced.
- Weapon Knock back – Eye of Reach shots will no longer apply knockback to enemies.
- Bullet Projectile Speed – Bullets fired from a Eye of Reach now travel faster through the air, providing more predictable accuracy at range.
- Weapon Damage Falloff – Bullet damage no longer decreases over distance.
- Eye of Reach Damage – Reduced Eye of Reach Damage by a small amount to ensure this weapon's damage is balanced following the improvements to bullet speed and damage falloff.
