Hooks are a cosmetic Vanity item type in Sea of Thieves, which can be equipped through the Vanity Chest. Most variations of Hooks can be purchased at the General Clothing Shop. Hooks are purely cosmetic elements of a Pirate and give no in-game benefits. An equipped Hook will always replace the Player Pirate's left hand. Any equipped Hooks also visually replace the Pirate's left hand in first-person view. Despite lacking digits on the left hand, Pirates with Hooks for left hands in Sea of Thieves can still perform all the actions that would require 5 fingers, such as playing a Hurdy-Gurdy.
