My adventures always made for grand stories, but there are parts of my journey that I never dared reveal. I think now, it's time for that story to be told.
— Briggsy, The Secret Wilds Launch Trailer
The Secret Wilds is the eleventh Adventure in Sea of Thieves. With Briggsy's memories successfully transferred to her mask, pirate crews will once again set out on a search for a cure to the curse which afflicts Tasha. But, as is always the case with The Legendary Rogue... not all as it seems. With ancient star maps and long forgotten constellations, it's safe to say that unbelievable discoveries await!
Over at The Unicorn tavern, however, Tasha is in no mood to join in with rumourmongering as she continues to face a private peril of her own. Her last few weeks have been spent waiting impatiently for answers to arrive, however indirectly, from an old friend...
Following the events of The Rogue's Legacy, Madame Olivia, has instead chosen to transfer these memories into Briggsy’s distinctive mask, ready to be wielded by pirates prepared to undertake this Adventure. Whoever dons the mask will hear the wisdom and insights of the Cursed Rogue herself as they follow in her footsteps, scouring The Wilds on the hunt for a cure to Tasha’s curse...
And yet, as is always the case with the legends of Captain Briggsy, all is not as it seems. The distinctive jewel in Briggsy’s mask, which Madame Olivia once assumed to be little more than an ostentatious decoration, has proven to contain knowledge of its own. In fact, the gem is a star map created by the Ancients, and has been used to chart constellations that appear strangely different to the night skies today’s pirates have come to know...
Wherever these strange constellations may have originated, Briggsy clearly believed that the mythology behind them was closely tied to the curse that affected her and now attacks Tasha – and, perhaps, the means to reverse it.
If Tasha is to be saved, it will be up to pirates to complete Briggsy’s odyssey and decipher the meaning behind these strange stars, not to mention any connection the constellations might have to the recent revitalisation of The Wilds itself. Crews will get their chance to see the world through the eyes of a Legendary Storyteller when ‘The Secret Wilds’ launches on January 19th. What happens next is written in the stars...
Deeds
Deeds are challenges related to the Adventure but reward renown, and The Dark Stargazer title if all are completed.
With Tasha still cursed you must work with Briggsy's mask to discover Ancient knowledge, dig up the past, and seek the cure.

Starting the Adventure
As you approach any Outpost tavern, Larinna can be heard beckoning you over. Speak with her and select the "[BEGIN ADVENTURE] I'm eady to help Madame Olivia with Tasha!" dialogue option
Follow the journey described in Tasha's Story Book, use Briggsy's Mask to collect the remaining Fragments of the Ancient Amulet, and set about finding the truth.
Look Up! The Constellations never appear on the horizon.
When nearing the right spot, a low humming sound can be heard that gets louder the closer to the perfect viewing position.
Once you found the right approximate spot, try to align the sets of stars into a complete drawing.
Stars at the beginning or ends of a line usually overlap perfectly with another star, try to use this to help with proper alignment.
Crooked Masts
Upon arriving at Crooked Masts, seek out the Owl, Butterfly, and Mountain Dark constellations by using Briggsy's Mask.
Owl: The Owl Dark constellation's viewing area can be found in the middle of the island, between the twin peaks. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Crown Key.
Buttefly: The Butterfly Dark constellation's viewing area can be found on the upper south-west side of the island near the cave painting of the Kraken. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Chalice Key.
Mountains: The Mountains Dark constellation's viewing area can be found on at the highest point of the northern peak near the patch of verdant ground. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth Briggsy's Chest.
Upon arriving at Old Faithful Isle, seek out the Spider, Panther, and Palm Tree Dark constellations by using Briggsy's Mask.
Spider: The Spider Dark constellation's viewing area can be found in around the upper eastern edge of the island close to a withered tree and skeleton watch tower. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Crown Key.
Panther: The Panther Dark constellation's viewing area can be found upon the upper south-west edge of the island near two barrels. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Chalice Key.
Palm Tree: The Palm Tree Dark constellation's viewing area can be found near the highest point on the island between two sets of barrels. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth Briggsy's Chest.
Upon arriving at Marauder's Arch, seek out the Fox, Hourglass, and Waterfall Dark constellations by using Briggsy's Mask.
Fox: The Fox Dark constellation's viewing area can be found along the southern shores close to the cavern entrance and cannon emplacement. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Crown Key.
Hourglass: The Hourglass Dark constellation's viewing area can be found within the abandoned skeleton fort on the eastern side of the island, near a cluster of three palm trees. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth a Chalice Key.
Waterfall: The Waterfall Dark constellation's viewing area can be found at the highest point of the island just before the Ferryman's coffin within the patch of verdant green. Once the stars are aligned and Briggsy's dialogue starts, dig where you stand to unearth Briggsy's Chest.
After completing the Amulet head to Marauder's Arch, if you're not already there, and talk to the phantom of Briggsy standing upon the island's peak.
After some dialogue occurs, an Enchanted Cannonball will be left behind alongside some torn pages from Tasha's Story Book on the ground, remember to pick these up.
Ah! The unicorn tavern. I loved this place. I'd tell such tales sitting by that fire! And every night the same little girl would come and listen. Tasha. The nearest person I had to family - outside of Sudds. She looked at me with eyes that somehow made me feel like a better person. The eyes of an innocent... I wanted to teach her everything I knew.
You know that I love the stars. If you didn't you really need to pay more attention! They're fascinating and beautiful. Modesty forbids me from comparing myself to them. I know, unusual for me. But I did see a kind of destiny in the stars, and so did my old friend Sudds. I never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn, but Sudds was a stickler for accuracy. That's how we met. What he didn't know about the night sky and the way the Ancients saw their strange stars wasn't worth knowing! I owe him a lot.
Memory Location:
Memories of Rose and George
Found on the north-west edge of Lone Cove, near a lone palm tree and rock.
Of all the would-be-pirates I've encountered in my time, one of the most promising was Rose. She really lived up to the nickname she had: Wild! I supposed I was partly responsible for her and her fate. After all, once you've met me, who doesn't want to become an Adventurer Extraordinaire! She never let danger scare her away - just like I said. That did lead to problems. But she's with her dear, dear George now, and I'm glad they're both happy.
Memory Location:
Memories of the Shroudbreaker
Found on Crook's Hollow, inside a large cave near the lone rock with a Scarab Painting.
Oh yes! The Shroudbreaker. The stuff of legends! It makes sense that it was me that put it together, then, doesn't it? When I'm back from visiting the Shores of Gold I've promised to spend loads of time with Tasha. Continue her training... Those were great times. I miss them. If I could have one wish it would be to get back to them...
Memory Location:
Memories of the Homeward Dove
Found on the west shoreline of Thieves' Haven, standing under a lone palm tree.
Look around. This is history in the making! The first place I landed in the Sea of Thieves. Not the grandest of entrances for a legend like me, I'll grant you. But it's where I managed to pick up my first ship. I say 'pick up'. I think you can guess what I mean by that. Unless you're not as smart as you look. The Homeward Dove. That sloop was home to me for a long time. It was literally part of my journey to becoming Captain Briggsy. Who I am today - or at least who I was...
You didn't hear? That resurrection business with the Sea Forts has really made things heat up around here! The Pirate Lord and the Reapers are in open conflict now. They've created two Factions - the Guardians of Fortune and the Servants of the Flame. Pirates who side with a Faction have one main goal: join the Battle for the Sea of Thieves to earn Allegiance! If you want to represent a Faction, you can vote with the Hourglass of Fate aboard your ship. Watch out, though - that means your opponents can come looking for trouble. They'll burst out of the water without warning, so... how does the saying go? Keep a weather eye on the horizon. Even if you do sink, though, you'll still earn some Allegiance for taking part. You can only vote to stop representing your Faction here at an Outpost, or at The Reaper's Hideout. Keep in mind before you decide to leap into the fight!
What's up with Madame Olivia?
As you know, Tasha has been cursed. She needs help urgently! The curse can spread quickly. And time is short! Whatever she was doing with Briggsy's memories might be ready by now. You should really go and check with Madame Olivia. She knows more than me! Good luck, pirate! I'm guessing you're going to need it.
[BEGIN ADVENTURE] I'm ready to help Madame Olivia with Tasha
(Voiceover starts and the Adventure begins)
Starting the Adventure
Larinna
That's right, from Madame Olivia herself. Looks like you impressed her last time you met. She's asked that you speak with her at Plunder Outpost. You might want to hurry - I've learned it's best not to get on her bad side.
Larinna: Before Speaking with Madame Olivia
Have you visited Madame Olivia at Plunder Outpost? She really needs your help- and fast!
I am Madame Olivia. Have you returned to help me with Tasha once more?
[CONTINUE ADVENTURE] Larinna sent me to help with Tasha.
(Voiceover starts)
After Meeting with Madame Olivia
Madame Olivia
Once more, I bid you welcome. It has been some time since we spoke of a cure for Tasha's curse. Briggsy believed that a cure did indeed exist - a remedy created by the Ancients long ago. Her memories are quite clear.
Yeah, when I was young Briggsy told me all about her hunt for the 'secret stars', whatever those are. Funny thing, though. Some of my pages are missing. I don't remember doing that...
Madame Olivia removes the mask from Briggsy's Skull and hands it over to the player.
Tasha
Oh! Before you go... This was one of Briggsy's gifts, but it matches a picture from the book. Thought it might come in handy...
Madame Olivia
I would advice caution, however. Briggsy never did obtain her cure. If you follow in her footsteps, I fear you are fated to discover why...
Madame Olivia: After meeting for the first time
If you have Briggsy's Mask and Tasha's Book, you should have all you need to help Tasha.
[FAIL ADVENTURE] I don't have Briggsy's artefacts any more.
(Adventure Ends)
Larinna: After Talking to Madame Olivia
Madame Olivia mentioned you were gathering some things for her. Have you found them all yet?
What's all this about Factions?
What's up with Madame Olivia?
As you know, Tasha has been cursed. She needs help urgently! The curse can spread quickly. And time is short! Whatever she was doing with Briggsy's memories might be ready by now. You should really go and check with Madame Olivia. She knows more than me! Good luck, pirate! I'm guessing you're going to need it.
We are looking for a story that leads us to the skeleton curse - and its cure. This is the beginning of that story. An Owl. My belief is that it represents a wise leader. Perhaps a King.
Butterfly Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
A Butterfly. It must relate to the other constellations somehow. Butterflies are colourful and fleeting; they hop from one flower to the next in search of nectar. So perhaps this is a person who shared those traits. But it must be an important one to be placed among the stars.
Mountain Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
This one's more abstract. These Peaks do not represent a real place. Believe me, I looked. They seem to indicate a difficulty - like a mountain to be climbed and overcame. Aha! Maybe the Butterfly is the son or daughter of the King - a carefree Prince? So he had to shape up, and do something worthwhile - or prove himself.
Spider Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
Right. Yes. A Black Widow spider. As deadly as one of Sudds' terrible jokes. A woman close to the King. An advisor or perhaps his Queen? No doubt she led him astray somehow...
Panther Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
I remember this! My favourite. A Panther. Beautiful and deadly. Remind you of anyone? So, I feel a connection to this one. A strong woman who gets given a bad rap. My intuition tells me we're looking at another relative of the King or the Prince.
Palm Tree Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
This one had me beat for awhile, but I worked it out. 'Course I did. It's me! Old Sudds used to say the palm tree had a ceremonial - even religious - importance to the Ancients. So, this palm tree must be a temple. Even where the trials took place? If it is, then maybe the King's wayward son went there to prove himself? And he was probably manipulated by that vicious Widow... But where is that blasted temple?
Fox Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
Now, where are we? A Fox - or a vixen. Cunning, for sure. Like me! Another strong woman! But there's something about her place in the story that made me think she wasn't a villain, this one. We should dig a bit more - see what we can find! Oh, now I get it! She comes after the temple, right? She's the High Priest. Why didn't I see this last time?
Hourglass Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
This is all beginning to make sense... So. It's an Hourglass. Big deal, right? While lesser minds probably couldn't solve this, I could see it meant two options - right or wrong. The Sands of Fate. A choice - go one way or the other. I understand now. This must be a decision you have to make in the temple.
Waterfall Constellation
Memory of Briggsy
Bit of a climb. But worth it for the last piece of the puzzle! Finally. The Waterfall. Again, I looked for this. Thought it was the entrance to the temple. It had to be some kind of barrier - with something hidden beyond. I know what you're thinking, pirate. I see the Shroudbreaker. It breaks down the wall between two physical places. Of course! I can see it now. It is a barrier. But it leads to the Sea of the Damned? Probably green, like a Phantom - or an emeralds... No wonder I could never find the temple! It was in the Sea of the Damned this whole time!
Memory of Briggsy: Before piecing all the fragments together
You need to put all four fragments together!
Memory of Briggsy: After piecing all the fragments together
You've brought me back! Good work! But I'll take that amulet now, thank you!
(If a crew-member is too far away)
Is that everyone? You all need to be here for this!
(If the entire crew is there, voiceover begins.)
Returning the Ancient Amulet to Briggsy
Briggsy
Well, well... Here I am! Don't know why you look so surprise. Well, you can stop gawping, we've got a temple to find! Yes, yes. I learned all about Tasha and the curse while we were sharing memories! According to what little sense is in your head, I'm dead. Which I'm trying not to take personally, by the way. The question is: how am I back?
A portal to the Sea of the Damned opens and the Warsmith Appears, while Amaranta can be seen on the other side of the portal.
Warsmith
I think that question might be meant for me. The Sea of the Damned has the power to manifest memories - like The Wilds, as it existed long ago. When you took Briggsy's mask into those figments of the past, it was only a matter of time before she manifested, too. An now, she can guide us in person with the amulet!
Briggsy
Don't count on it, Croaky. Something tells me you're to blame for Tasha's curse!
Warsmith
Correct. And the cure is sealed away within the temple. But we can constrain that curse until I decide otherwise - buy your precious Tasha more time - with a creation of my own devising. It will keep her safe while we locate the temple. But you must come with us before we surrender it.
Briggsy
Very well, 'Warsmith'. Once you hand over this creation, then we have a deal. But if you try anything... it will be your last mistake! Wait for us to go, then return to Tasha. Tell her she's going to be okay. I won't let her down again. Now hurry!
Briggsy and the Warsmith are spirited away into the portal, leaving behind the missing pages from Tasha's Story Book and an Enchanted Cannonball before the portal closes behind them.
Madame Olivia: After returning with the Enchanted Cannonball
If you have Briggsy's Mask and Tasha's Book, you should have all you need to help Tasha.
[COMPLETE ADVENTURE] Briggsy took the Amulet and disappeared with the Dark Brethren!
(Voiceover begins)
Returning to Madame Olivia
Tasha
I can't believe it...Briggsy back after all this time... And she's looking out for me!
Madame Olivia
Yes, and it would appear that Briggsy's sacrifice of her new-found freedom has paid off.
Madame Olivia pulls out Tasha's Story Book and begins reviewing the pages.
Warsmith has indeed crafted this very special Cursed Cannonball to delay the spread of the curse. As to the tre cure, I can see it resides in an Ancient Temple, long since lost, in which lurks a great evil. Something dangerous enough to make Briggsy tear out the last pages of Tasha's story. Perhaps she left them behind as a warning... However! Things are by no means over. The Dark Brethren hold all the cards. We must hope that Briggsy continues to serve their needs, or I fear...
Madame Olivia closes Tasha's Story Book and stores it inside her desk.
Tasha
S'all right. You can say it. You fear I'll be lost? Well, I still believe Briggsy will do whatever it takes to save me!
Madame Olivia
Perhaps that is wise. Right now, I'm afraid belief is all we have.
(Adventure Completes)
Madame Olivia: After Finishing the Adventure
I am Madame Olivia. Have you returned to help me with Tasha once more?
No! Skeletons deserve to have their bones broken! Seek them out with the information we give you, then smash them to pieces! Bring back their skulls as proof of their destruction.
There must be more to this than just smashing bones. What about Rewards?
There is no greater task than seeking the skeletal forms of dread pirates! And despatching them with sword or gun - sending them back to dust! Do this and I will reward you handsomely, with gold and other prizes equal to your achievements.
A pirate like you who has a gift for smashing skeletons would be wise to consider becoming an Emissary. In return for upholding our values and bringing in skulls, you will earn greater rewards. Essentially, you'd be showing the other Companies that we are a force to be reckoned with. Your devotion would be remembered, I assure you.
Is there anything more we can do to help Tasha?
Alas, no. We must be patient and wait for the Dark Brethren to make their next move. Only then may we discern Briggsy's motives.
[REPLAY ADVENTURE] I'm Ready to help. What do you need me to do?
(Restarts Adventure at Madame Olivia's First meeting voiceover)
